Join us for our Book Signing Tour of the Original Upper Cumberland Quilt Trail

Reservations are now being taken for the combination book signing and quilt trail tour to view the original 6 quilt squaresplus new sites on the expanded Quilt Trail in Putnam County. This all inclusive tour includes lunch and transportation along with insider visits with barn and quilt owners. A photographer’s delight!

The tour will start at 8:30 AM at Kindred Healthcare, 278 Dry Valley Road, in Algood, TN. From I-40, take exit 288, Hwy 111, go North, exit at Cookeville/Algood, turn right on E 10th/W Main St, take 3rd right onto Elm Street, turn right onto Dry Valley Road. Kindred will be on left. 931.537.6524 Antique, quilt, and history lovers alike will enjoy this tour! Book signing will be held from 3-5 pm at the Cumberland Art Society’s Backdoor Gallery located at 186 S Walnut Ave, Cookeville, Tn. This public event can be attended without a tour ticket. Ms. Suzi Parron’s book, “Barn Quilts and the American Quilt Trail Movement”, features the colorful patterns of quilt squares painted large on barns throughout North America. It is the story of one of the fastest growing grassroots public arts movements in the United States and Canada.

On Saturday, April 7th, an additional opportunity will be available for book signing and festivities in Granville, Tn. Ms. Parron will give a program beginning at 1 pm at Sutton’s Store followed by book signing from 1:30-3:30 pm. Additional book signings will take place that evening from 4:30-5 pm and from 6:30-7:00 pm. Enjoy the Grand Opening of Sutton Homestead Pioneer Village along with the “Tennessee Mafia Jug Band” during your visit.
