William's Wildflowers

William’s Wildflowers, a children’s book showcasing the wildflowers of the South Cumberland Plateau, was written by Friends of South Cumberland president Mary Priestley and designed by Friends member and past president Latham Davis. The printing, sponsored by Chattanoga’s Creative Discovery Museum and the Chattanooga Nature Center, was made possible through grants from the Lyndhurst Foundation and the Community Foundation of Greater Chattanooga.

Follow busy honeybee Bea as she flies from forest to meadow to pond, gathering nectar and pollen and giving us the scoop on some of our beautiful native plants. Part of the cost of the book goes toward the William’s Wildflowers Project, devoted to making the book available to every fourth grader in the Hamilton County (Chattanooga) school system. The rest goes towards the Friends effort to get the book into the schools surrounding the park. Books may be purchased online through the friends of South Cumberland webpage at www.friendsofsouthcumberland.org.
